OUR APPROACH
Comprehensive Evaluations That Bring Clarity to Complex Concerns
A psychological assessment is more than testing. It is a careful process of gathering developmental history, observing patterns, administering evidence based measures, and interpreting results within the full context of your child’s life. For children who are having challenges at school, we often provide a school observation.
Whether concerns involve attention, learning differences, emotional regulation, autism spectrum traits, or early developmental delays, our evaluations are thorough, individualized, and grounded in current research. Families leave not just with a report, but with practical guidance and next steps.
AREAS OF EVALUATION
Psychological Testing for Children Addressing Developmental, Emotional, and Learning Concerns
Families seek assessments for different reasons. Some are looking for diagnostic clarity. Others want to understand why their child is struggling academically or socially. Our evaluations may include:

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM CHILD ASSESSMENTS
A Structured, Thoughtful Process from First Meeting to Final Report
The evaluation process begins with a detailed parent interview and review of developmental history. We take time to understand not only current concerns but also early milestones, family dynamics, and school experiences. This foundation allows testing results to be interpreted accurately rather than in isolation.
Testing sessions are scheduled in a way that supports your child’s stamina and comfort. We use standardized psychological testing tools appropriate for age and presenting concerns, observing both performance and behavioral patterns throughout the process.
Following testing, families receive a comprehensive written report and a feedback session to review findings. We explain results clearly, answer questions thoroughly, and provide concrete recommendations for school supports, therapeutic interventions, or additional services as needed.
WHEN TO CONSIDER TESTING
Signs a Comprehensive Psychological Evaluation May Be Helpful
If questions continue despite reassurance, formal assessment can provide clarity.

COLLABORATIVE SUPPORT
Coordinated Care with Parents, Schools, and Medical Providers
Assessment does not end with a diagnosis. We collaborate with parents, educators, pediatricians, and when appropriate, medical specialists to ensure recommendations are implemented effectively. In addition, clinicians often attend school meetings such as 504 plan and IEPs. Families may also benefit from ongoing support through Children & Teens therapy services or Parenting support. Our goal is continuity, not fragmentation.
