Elizabeth Gooding, Psy.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Gooding works with adolescents and emerging adults as they develop their identities and learn how to care for their nervous systems in a complex, ever-expanding world. Her work with youth emphasizes self-understanding and practical skill-building, supporting them as they step into new roles and responsibilities with greater clarity and resilience.

She also works with adults navigating complex parenting experiences, including receiving a diagnosis for a child, co-parenting neurodivergent children, parenting after difficult birth experiences, and times when parenting brings forward unresolved personal history. She supports families who are balancing care for both children and aging parents, offering space for reflection, integration, and sustainable support.

Dr. Gooding’s therapeutic style is warm, active, and collaborative. She integrates depth psychology with developmental and systems-oriented perspectives to create thoughtful, individualized interventions tailored to each client’s needs.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Reed College and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Her advanced clinical training includes an internship at the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco and a postdoctoral fellowship at The Wright Institute’s School-Based Collaboration program. She continues to engage in ongoing professional development to deepen her expertise in helping individuals and families understand, regulate, and heal their nervous systems while navigating the demands of contemporary life. More recent additions to her training have included SPACE and SPACE to Grow. She is currently working on both an ASD specialist training and an intensive in Internal Family Systems.
